Slava Ukraini • Fundraiser Design
A close friend of mine, Kate, approached me to help design an identity for a fundraiser she was creating to support Ukraine. Kate has a heart of gold and wanted to show her close Ukrainian friend that we were all here to support her, and the millions of Ukrainians like her who have been impacted by the atrocities of the war. ‘Slava Ukraini’ means ‘Glory to Ukraine’, and had become a rallying cry for the Ukrainian people and their fight for freedom since the war broke out in Feburary 2022.
The local fundraiser event in Thornbury incredibly raised $30,000 that was donated to the 'Help UA Surgeons' offical charity. The donation was used to purchase electrosurgical equipment for surgeons working in Ukrainian military hospitals and on the frontlines of the war.
It was an incredible feat, and I was so happy to donate my time to help build out an identity for the event, and help get the word out for it.
